The Cloud Forest truly sings, beginning with a mist-shrouded symphony of 500 bird species. Witness iridescent hummingbirds and vibrant toucans paint the canopy of this ethereal Ecuadorian realm.

Blog Image The morning at 📍The Cloud Forest Retreat began not with an alarm, but with a symphony of wings and song. Outside my window, the mist still clung to ancient trees, dripping onto vibrant orchids and emerald ferns, as the first light painted the canopy. It’s a concert directed by countless feathered virtuosos! Rufous-tailed hummingbirds zip past, iridescent jewels against the lush green. I even glimpsed a vibrant Plate-billed Mountain-Toucan, a flash of color in this ethereal realm. The Chocó Andino de Pichincha truly is a global treasure; this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is home to over 500 bird species. Each call is a profound reminder of this untouched beauty. What bird song always lifts your spirits?
